Post written by lead artist Renee Kurilla. It's that time again, another new season means a new issue for our Ranger Rick’s Tree House app with the National Wildlife Federation! The issue went live over the weekend, which is always a great way to start a week here at FableVision Studios. We've had some great news recently: Ranger Rick's Tree House is a Silver Winner in the 2013 National Parenting Publications Awards (NAPPA) Children’s Products competition's Virtual Category. We were also recently featured in the Association of American Publishers' blog for our work with the National Wildlife Federation! You can read the post here.

The first day of autumn is right around the corner on September 22. Colorful leaves, sweater weather, spooky ghost stories, apple pie, pumpkins... fall is magical. It was still mid-summer when I was illustrating these scenes for Ranger Rick's Tree House Fall Issue, but it didn't take long to get in the spirit of the changing seasons.

You'll notice the tree's leaves changing color here in the backyard, and there are some fall happenings and preparations. It's a fun illustration challenge, to take the same scene and change the seasons. I'm really looking forward to winter! (Drawing, not shoveling!)

This issue has two new games, Silly Fill-Ins (a nod to Mad Libs) and Tiger Paw-parazzi (a tiger stripes matching game).

In Tiger Paw-parazzi, match your tiger's colors and stripes to the identification cards as speedy as you can to collect the most points!

You can download the issue here. See you next season!
