Client: Discovery Day Academy 

Discovery Day Academy in Florida engages its students in meaningful learning through project-based learning. On its campuses, children are encouraged to utilize 21st century learning skills of critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and communication. The school’s founder Elizabeth Garcia asked FableVision to create an animated short that explained her school’s learning model while encouraging other educators to break free from the mold.

Timed for Discovery Day Academy’s rebranding launch, FableVision created Lighting the Way. Each character in the two-minute animation represents a different learner, as one student imagines powering streetlights with her bicycle, another dreams of capturing stars, and the third student brings it all together. By working together the students play with prisms and develop a new light bulb to help the town. The animation shows that through innovation, collaboration, and creative thinking the world can light up with limitless possibility.
