Admission Assessment for Beginning Learners (AABL)

Client: Educational Records Bureau (ERB)

Collaborating with the Educational Records Bureau (ERB), FableVision developed the Admission Assessment for Beginning Learners (AABL), an interactive test designed to assess verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning, early literacy, and mathematics. Geared toward children entering pre-K to first grade, AABL is administered on an iPad and uses drag-and-drop format.

For the AABL program, FableVision created nearly 700 answer choice art, as well as dozens of characters and backgrounds to engage the test taker. For efficient production, the backgrounds and question items were made reusable. In addition, FableVision created a custom content management system (CMS) for AABL, and did the programming for each question or item.
